Last Days in the news.

Who Ya Gonna Call? (Pt. 5)

Part 5

The automatic sliding doors were stuck in the open position and the flow of the people going in and out of the store seemed perpetual as Stan waited politely to slip inside. After waiting a few moments, he realized that most shoppers had long since discarded their manners as they made for the rapidly vanishing food supplies.

The large grocery store was dimly lit, as the juice dwindled and the battery-powered emergency lights dotting the walls. This store, like most modern grocery stores, drug stores, and department, had been built largely without windows to help prevent burglaries. It depended almost entirely on artificial interior lighting to brighten it’s aisles. Without electricity, the store became a huge, dark cave, with only the emergency spots providing any light at all.

Some people lit their way with flashlights as they attempted to find food, but most simply stumbled along in the dark, bumping from one person to the next, like a bizarre human pinball game. Several people tussled in the aisles, over claims of foodstuffs. A few actually engaged in fistfights, throwing punches wildly, flailing at each other in the dim light.  Civilization was deteriorating right between the canned goods and the macaroni and cheese. The store could not stay open much longer, but that mattered little; the food items most people were scouring the shelves for were all gone anyhow. More than a few brave souls purchased dog food in hopes that, if necessary, it would keep them alive until better sources of sustenance could be found. By now, Stan noted, even the dog food aisles were sparsely supplied.

The bread was gone; so was the milk. Empty egg cartons littered the dairy aisles. Most vegetable racks were vacant. The shelves where the canned foods were usually stocked were barren. Stan found a box of instant rice on the floor. Apparently someone had knocked it off a shelf and in the darkness, it had gone undiscovered. That and two dented cans of green beans were the extent of the food Stan carried as he made his way toward the long checkout lines.

“Oh, excuse me, ma’am,” Stan said, more from habit than civility, as he bounced off a grandmotherly woman in front of him. She had actually been the one to bang into him, but assessing blame in these conditions is as foolish as someone complaining about an open window on the Titanic while it was sinking.

“Quite all right, young man. Are you finding any food?” the woman asked sprightly.

“No, ma’am,” Stan replied. “Not much. And I have a wife and toddler at home. I don’t know what were going to feed our daughter.”

“Well, take this. The woman handed a loaf of bread in Stan’s direction.

“Oh, no! I couldn’t take your bread.” Stan replied, much to his amazement. “There’s no another loaf to be found anywhere else in the store. Believe me, I’ve looked!”

“It’s all right. Go ahead and take it,” the woman said sweetly. “You need it more than I do.”

“But what about you? What are you going to eat?”

“Don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine. My church is taking good care of me. I’m just here looking to find some food to help someone else. And I guess I found someone else I could help. “

“Your church?” Stan asked

“Yes, for the past few years, our church has been stockpiling basic food supplies to help our congregation and other members of the community get through times of shortages. Many laughed at our pastor when Y2K was hardly a bump in the road, but he was not diverted from his belief in preparing ahead of time. As the Bible says in Proverbs, a wise man sees the need and prepares for it ahead of time. So our church stays ready for an awful storm, a flood, or even an earthquake.” The woman paused for a moment, but it was long enough for Stan to notice the twinkle in her eye.

How can she be so calm in all of this? He wondered.

The woman’s voice interrupted his thoughts. “Fortunately, we didn’t need nearly as much food as the leaders of our congregation had prepared for,” she said, “but it’s a good thing the church thought ahead. No one is poking fun at our food pantry anymore.”

“So your church is helping to feed you during these blackouts?” Stan asked, astonished.

“Oh, yes, the church provides food for about two hundred other people who live near our church property. We’re not eating fancy restaurant cuisine, but we’re surviving. A number of people are actually living in the church gymnasium. These stressful times have pulled our community together like never before.

“Yeah, I’ll bet,” said Stan as he accepted the bread from the woman. “Are you sure you are going to have enough?” he asked with genuine concern.

The woman smiled at him in the shadows as they inched closer to the parallel checkout counters. “Thank you for your concern, but it is unwarranted. I’ll be fine. I have a good group of people around me. The church is just up the road from the grocery store.” The woman reached into her purse and produced a church bulletin, complete with a picture of the church, an address, and a phone number. Stan recognized the church immediately. He passed by it a thousand times before without giving it much thought.

“If you need help, please stop by,” said the woman joyfully. “We can always stretch the soup a little further.”

Stan was intrigued. Almost to his own surprise, he heard himself saying, “I’d really like to know more about your church.”

“Well, I’m on my way there as soon as I leave the store. Why don’t you come on over?”

“Maybe I will.” Stan replied, as he thought of Christine and the baby at home in the cold, with nothing to eat. “Maybe we will.”

Whatever you’re going to do… do it NOW!

February 29, 2012

It is an amazing time to be living as the Bible’s Last Days events are taking place on a daily basis. Earthquakes have increased and even tornados have quadrupled!  This should not scare us but reassure us that the Bible is true!  Jesus said when all these things take place, He will take us, who believe in Him, to a home He has prepared for us!

Whatever we are going to do for Christ, NOW is the time to do it. Israel is God’s Time Clock and the alarm is telling us we are near earth shaking events. The AP news service declares; “U.S. Intelligence Officials say Israel won’t warn the U.S. if they decide to launch a preemptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities.”

Iran has declared their goal is to wipe all Jews off the face of the earth including those in the United States and around the world!  Israel is surrounded by her enemies, just as the Bible says that they would be in the Last Days. We could be one bomb away from an Armageddon!

This is just one of the reasons Lori and I and all of us at Morningside are preparing for the Last Days great harvest time!  We are enlarging our school and adding a new production studio to reach the youth of the world. Our new ministry and food storage center, with housing for visitors coming for teaching and encouragement and a safe place in Times of Trouble, is under construction. The steel has arrived for this important building we call Morningside Old Mill Inn, which by the way, will house even a tornado-proof shelter for residents and visitors.

Lori and I are not only storing more food at Morningside and doing more to help our friends and faith partners get ready, we are adding to our personal storage for our family! The Bible even says that a person is a fool who sees trouble coming and does not prepare!  We believe what Jesus said would come to pass, will come to pass! And what Jesus told John to write down in the book of Revelation is coming to pass NOW!  Remember tribulation simply means pressure!  WOW, are we already there!

Why are we preparing this City of Refuge with power generators and its own food and water supply? It is to encourage and teach God’s Word, and store and grow food, and save babies, and train young and old alike, and to broadcast the Gospel around the world 24 hours a day!

I will give you just a few reasons why I am storing more food right NOW!  The number one reason is that I have spent the last two decades studying the Bible and focusing on the book of Revelation, researching in the Greek each word of this amazing book one word at a time and I am totally convinced we are living in Revelation Days NOW!  The “Four Horseman of the Apocalypse” are not only out of the barn but they are beginning to gallop throughout the world!

The number two reason why I am storing more food and have even put in emergency power into our home is America has turned her back on God!  The Harbinger warnings from God before Israel was destroyed have all taken place in the United States!  It was ten years after the bricks fell that Israel was destroyed and we are in the tenth year since 9/11!  Read Rabbi Cahn’s book, “The Harbinger” if you do not know of this important warning from God to America!  2012 is not the end of the world like many are saying, but as Rick Joyner has said, it may be the end of the world as we know it!

The third reason is that Jesus says in Matthew 24, that a sign of His return is there will be “no food to eat,” and there will be earthquakes all over the place!  In case of earthquakes or hurricanes or tornadoes or lack of food or riots or power failures, do you have a plan where you will go and where will your family meet if all phone lines and phone towers are down?  Iran plans to explode an Electric Magnetic bomb over America shutting down all transportation that has motors and our electric grid system. Do you agree it is time for America to turn back to God?  Our only safe place is in Jesus Christ;  He will never leave us or forsake us! The Bible says, “Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord!”

It’s time to prepare food and water, for this is key to sustaining life!   Look over our food offers and get ready NOW!  One day it will be too late!

What do you think the Bible means when it says “In the Last Days perilous times will come?” Perilous means difficult, dangerous, furious and reducing the strength!  Are these difficult days?  Dangerous days?  Are people furious and has even the strength of America been reduced?  The warning signs of God’s prophetic words are flashing NOW!  Will you heed them and be ready?

Don’t be afraid – be ready!  Get your food ready for your family and have some for others too!  We can’t give them Jesus until we give them food first!

Remember that we love you and God loves you, He really does!

We’re on the Verge of Something BIG!

November 25, 2011

There is so much happening in the Spirit right now.  God has been speaking to me about so many things that I need to get out – need to tell everyone – need to warn people about.  Even the Thanksgiving holiday has given me no reprieve on sounding the alarm!  The time is short folks!  We are on the verge of something really BIG!  I feel it in my spirit and I know it because I know His voice!

Others know His voice too.  When Rick Joyner came last week, he said he was almost “desperate” to get back here to Morningside and tell our listening audience “AMEN – it’s time to store food and water!”  Neither of us know precisely what is coming, but we know it is BIG!  We are pleading with people to get ready!

We talked a lot about this nation and how it has turned away from God.  The scriptures are clear:  When a nation honors God, they will be blessed (Psalm 33:12).  When they turn against God, the scriptures say they will perish! (Deuteronomy 8:19,  Jeremiah 7:6, 25:6)

Rick had a lot to say about the condition of the nation and the church.  Here are just a few of the outstanding statements he urged our listening audience to pay attention to:

“Now there is going to be a time of trouble. There’s going to be a time of bartering in America. There’s going to be tremendous upheaval. We can come out of the other side better than ever.”

“Our future can be much brighter than our past. I’m talking about America.”

“The net worth of America is not measured in dollars. It’s the industry. It’s the initiative. It’s the people. It’s the freedoms that release these things.”

“I’m confident that if we will humble ourselves, if we follow 2 Chronicles 7:14, the Lord will not only get us out of this, it will be a reset. It will be like a Jubilee.”

“When a nation keeps taking stands against God and against Israel – it’s dangerous!  We don’t honor God as a holy God.”

“Our nation is in increasing jeopardy because of the way we treat Israel – and the way we treat the Lord is even worse!  Until 50 years ago, we wanted Jesus more than any nation on earth and since then, we’ve been asking Him to leave – we’ve demanded Him to leave!”

“We don’t even want the mention of Him in our history or in our public places… and He’s left!”

The ensuing meltdown is continuing and Rick believes we are in the worst jeopardy of our nation’s history!  This meltdown is the direct result of us turning from solid Biblical foundations, solid Biblical principles that He gave us as a nation!

The only answer is to get back to them.  You can go back and see it has been the departure from those founding principles that has led us to all of the crises we are now in.

“Outside, people are saying now it’s July when everything starts unraveling really fast.”

“Some of our senators and congressmen said — they didn’t say it publically — but they said, “We’re now hoping to make it to January.”

“Our real debt right now is not just 15 trillion or 14 trillion. Add the entitlements on there… It goes way past 65 trillion.”

“The economic principles that are being used are counter-productive. They’re not just not working — they’re counter-productive. They’re unraveling things.”

“In the natural we passed a point of no return. In the natural there’s nothing we can do now and this is why they’re not addressing certain things. They said nobody has the answers and that’s why they’re not talking about it. So let’s go on, business as usual.”

“2 Chronicles 7:14 says: “If MY people.”  We need to understand that it’s us, not the heathen that needs to humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways so that He can come and heal our land.”

“We ARE a Christian nation:  83% of Americans claim to be Christians.  Nearly 65% claim to be born again!  Though 65% claim to be born again, only 6% have a Biblical world view.  We have been making converts and not disciples.  We would not have drifted so far from our Biblical foundations had we understood what was in the scriptures.”

If you know Rick the way I know him, he doesn’t alter his message or adjust it for anyone or anything.  He says what he means and means what he says.  I respect him for that and I know him to be a solid man of God with a prophetic voice you can count on.  He hears from God.

I can’t say this urgently enough:  It’s time for understanding of the Times and Seasons.  It’s time to be like the Sons of Issachar who knew the Times and the Seasons and had wisdom about how to prepare for them. There’s something coming – it’s BIG.  Get yourself and your family prepared.  Have something extra to give to others so that you can show them the love of God during hard times.  Do it NOW!

“If just the evangelical church would say, “Let’s get ready to take care of ourselves and just 10 percent more…” We could take care of 50 percent of the people in America.”

                                                                                                                               Love,

                                                                                                                                Jim

Monster May – Recap

May 27, 2011

I recently returned from a mission trip with my crew to several states where flooding and storms have caused death and destruction in the lives of many people.  We are emotionally spent.  You can’t look on that much human suffering without it taking its toll.  Everything else that may be going on, pales in light of it.  I have seen other newscasters unable to speak or describe the scenes they were looking upon – it was all so overwhelming.  We are doing what we can to alleviate some of the suffering.  It will take the efforts of millions of people, organizations and especially churches to reach out with whatever they have to give – and everyone has something to give!

In the meantime, the Middle East is still in turmoil, Israel is surrounded by its enemies, and earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters are increasing dramatically.  Yet, people everywhere refuse to repent (but that’s another blog).

The news headlines have described the events of May as “epic” and “biblical” and “apocalyptic”.  These are the words of the secular media, not religious men.  Even the world knows that what we are witnessing is a global turmoil unlike anything ever before it.  They may not know what to call it, but we do.  It’s called the Times of Trouble, the Last Days, the Revelation Days, and the Tribulation.

We know what these Times are because God gave us the Scriptures so that we would know!  He did not give us these warnings in Scripture so that we would be fearful – NO!  …just the opposite!  In Matthew 24:6 Jesus says “See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.”  And in Matthew 24:32-33 Jesus says “  “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door.”  Now that is Good News to those who know Him!

Then, in Matthew 24:42-46, Jesus tells us what we should do,  “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. “But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. “For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.”

Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time? “Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes.”

Jesus gives us this spiritual instruction using a natural principle.  The principle is that when you see the warning signs of an impending disaster, you should prepare.  This is a natural, practical preparation – as well as a spiritual preparation.  He tells us that we should be alert to the times in which we live and to pattern our lives accordingly, making every effort to be found faithful.

As these Revelation events increase, we need to increase in faith and preparedness for what is coming upon the world – it is not something that anyone should ignore.   We can increase and grow in our spiritual knowledge and our peace when we have heeded the instructions given so lovingly so many years ago.  Don’t just be a hearer, be a doer!

God loves you!  He really does!

Will We Go Through the Tribulation? (Pt. 5)

April 27, 2011

For me, belief in the Rapture played right into my prosperity theology.  It made for a perfect package: people could get saved by saying a few words, they could live in luxury and excess throughout this lifetime, and then Jesus would return to take them out of the tough times that others were to experience during end-time tribulation.  It was pure escapism.  My favorite prophetic passage was, “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the son of Man” (Luke 21:36 NKJV).

I liked that verse because it gave me an out.  Christians did not really have to suffer.  They would be taken home to glory before all the bad stuff started happening on earth.  I felt it went against God’s very nature to allow His family to go through the horrors of the Tribulation.  Surely He loves us too much to allow that.  “Just keep praying, brother and sister, that you may be counted worthy to escape.”

Not only that, but it was easier to raise money if one believed in a pretribulational Rapture.  Many sincere Christians who want their lives to count for Christ are easily stimulated to give to ministries when they believe that Jesus Christ could come back at any moment.  After all, who wants to send money to a ministry that tells them tough times are coming and you will have to go through them?

In the preface to his book The Rapture Plot, author David MacPherson hints at a link between pretrib theology and money.  MacPherson describes belief in the Rapture as “Protestant evangelicalism’s most popular and most lucrative view of the future.”  Not surprisingly, most popular prosperity teachers – with a few rare exceptions – hold strongly to a pretribulational view, including belief in a Rapture that will allow believers to escape the calamities to come.

My own thinking on the matter began to change when, in prison, I began a daily, concentrated study of the Scriptures, especially those relating to Jesus Christ.  Naturally, I wanted to learn about Christ’s return, so I began searching for those passages that described a rapture that preceds the Tribulation.

To my amazement, I couldn’t find any.  Oh, sure, I found Scriptures that I and other preachers had twisted or had imbued with our own interpretations, but when I allowed the Bible to speak for itself, I came face to face with the fact that my preconceived notions of a pretribulational Rapture were baseless.  About that same time, God began to impress upon me that I myust warn people concerning the dark days to come.

Over the years since then, I have discovered that I am not alone in my opinion that there is no biblical basis to believe in a pretribulational Rapture.  For instance, Dr. George Eldon Ladd, the esteemed former Professor of Exegesis and Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, wrote, “The Scripture nowhere asserts that there is a Rapture which will take place before the Revelation.”

Dr. Ladd studied the prophetic Scriptures carefully and wrote numerous books on the Second Coming, including The Blessed Hope and A Commentary on the Book of Revelation.  In his book The Last Things, Ladd contends:

The only coming of Christ that is spoken of in Matthew 24 is the coming of the glorious Son of Man after the tribulation and the only thing that resembles the Rapture is the gathering of the elect from the four winds (Matt. 24:31).  There is not a hint of a pretribulational return of Christ and Rapture of the church before the Great Tribulation.

Will We Go Through the Tribulation? (Pt. 4)

April 25, 2011

The word rapture comes from the Latin rapiemur and means “we shall be caught up”.  Although the word rapture does not appear in the Bible, we based our concept of it on a passage in Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians, in which he encouraged the believers:

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.  Therefore comfort one another with these words.  (4:16-18 NASB, emphasis mine).

This catching away of the saints was to take place secretly, at least as far as unbelievers were concerned.  Only believers, it was thought, would be able to witness the appearing of the Lord.  Suddenly, Jesus was to appear for us, and in a twinkling of an eye we would be gone, whisked off the ground to meet the Lord in the sky.  The dead in Christ, believers who had died prior to His coming, would rise first and together we would all meet Him in the air.  From there He would take us to live with Him eternally.  Later, Christ would return again, this time in power and glory to judge the word and set up His eternal kingdom.  Some Christians who agreed on a pretribulational Rapture had more difficulty agreeing on just how much time would elapse before Christ’s final return – some thought it to be after the one thousand years of peace predicted in Revelation 20:3, others thought it might be before that millennium – but all pretrib preachers and teachers were confident of Christ’s final victory over Satan and the Lord’s return for His people.

Many Christians plastered bumper stickers on their cars with slogans such as, “If Jesus comes, this car will be driverless.”  Pastors sometimes quipped, “If the Rapture takes place while I am preaching, you’ll have to get someone else to finish this sermon.”  Christians often joked, “Imagine what a mess it’s going to be when the Rapture occurs – when millions of people don’t show up for work the day after the Rapture because we are all in heaven!”  Those with a more morbid outlook fretted over what would happen to planes being piloted by Christians, or buses being driven by Christians, or patients being operated on by Christian doctors at the moment the Rapture takes place.  Planes spinning out of control, buses careening off highways, and patients left to die on the operating table were part of the down side to the Rapture.

Although most of my pretribulational mentors were relatively unknown, some of the more recognizable names associated with pretribulational Rapture position include C.E. Scofield, whose notes in the Scofield Bible influenced many of the preachers of my generation; Hal Lindsey, whose book The Late Great Planet Earth did much the same for many laypeople; John F. Walvoord, a Dallas Theological Seminary professor whose book The Rapture Question has impacted many who have studied the issue from a more scholarly approach; and Charles C. Ryrie, whose study Bible was one of the best-selling study Bibles in the 1980s.

Will We Go Through the Tribulation? (Pt. 3)

April 21, 2011

Believing and expecting the return of Jesus Christ is something most Christians can agree on, but the question that rankles the hearts and minds of many believers – and sometimes even divides Christians into separate camps and denominations – is the issue of whether believers will have to experience some or all of the rough times described in the book of Revelation and other prophetic Scriptures.

Basing their beliefs on information found in the Old Testament book of Daniel and the New Testament book of Revelation, conservative Bible scholars generally concur on the fact that the Great Tribulation will last a total of seven years. During that time the earth will undergo a horrendous time of chaos, including unparalleled earthquakes, floods, famines, pestilences, meteor strikes, and wars. Out of the chaos, rising on a platform of peace and security, will be the Antichrist, a powerful world leader under the direct control of Satan himself. The question is this: will Christians who are alive at that time (which I believe is coming upon us in the near future) escape the Tribulation, or will we have to go through part or all of it? Sincere Christians and intelligent Bible scholars can be found on both sides of the issue, holding to radically different opinions of just when Christ will come and when His church, the body of true believers, will be removed from Earth.

For many years I believed and preached adamantly that Christians would not be here to see the horrors of the Tribulation period. Admittedly, most of my thoughts on the matter were not original; nor were my views arrived at by years of studying the Scriptures and coming to biblically based conclusions. For the most part I simply believed what my mentors had taught, naively accepting their positions as absolute truth. When I continued to teach the things I had heard other sincere men and women of God proclaim – namely, that Jesus was coming back before the seven-year Tribulation, in an event we called the Rapture.

Will We Go Through the Tribulation? (Pt. 1)

April 14, 2011

Some dramatic events on God’s calendar must take place before the Lord returns to earth, and many of these are not going to be pretty.  Those Christians who have adopted a materialistic, escapist view of the Christian life may be terribly surprised.

Many of the world crises we are beginning to experience were predicted in the Bible hundreds of years ago.  What is shocking, however, is the rapid-fire speed at which these events are now racing ahead.  Against all odds, the frameworks of the world’s economic, political, and social systems are being shaken and are beginning to crumble.

Before going any further, allow me to make a confession:  I do not understand everything the Bible reveals to us concerning the Second Coming.  I consider myself a student of the Scriptures, but I must admit, I still have questions about many aspects of eschatology, the study of future things.  I do not know when Jesus is coming – it may be in my lifetime or it may not – but I believe He will return to Earth in power and glory, just as He said.

I used to listen in amazement (and sometimes with amusement) to some of the prophecy teachers we hosted at PTL.  With their charts and graphs they would dogmatically teach exactly when the events described in the book of Revelation were going to come to pass.  “This is going to happen, then this will happen, and then will be the Battle of Armageddon…” on and on they would go.  I do not mean to imply that these teachers were insincere in their teaching or unlearned in the Scriptures.  They were godly Bible teachers who felt strongly that they had exceptional insight or an unusual understanding of a complicated message.

Yet the truth is, we do not know when Jesus Christ is going to return.  I can point you to the Scriptures that describe what will happen before His coming; I can (and will in the pages ahead) show you Scriptures that describe His return in power.  But to set a date for His return is not my intention.  Jesus said, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” (Mark 13:32 NKJV).  In one of His last statements to His disciples, after the Resurrection and just before He ascended into heaven, Jesus said, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority” (Acts 1:7 NKJV).  For me to give you a play-by-play description of the events scheduled to take place in the future, events whose timing is known only to our heavenly Father, would be the height of presumption on my part.

On the other hand, I do not subscribe to the popular notion that it is impossible for us to know approximately when to expect our Lord’s return.  Many Christians are fond of saying, “I am neither pretribulational or posttribulational.  I am pantribulational.  I just believe it will all pan out in the end.”

That’s a cute (and non-confrontational) way to look at the last days, but it flies in the face of Scripture.  Jesus definitely gave us a lot of information concerning His return and, as I noted previously, numerous signs to watch for, signs indicating that the time of His return is near.

Sometimes I wish Jesus had been more specific in the information He gave to us.  Imagine all the theological arguments He could have prevented if He hand only said, “I am coming back at the beginning of the Tribulation period, or the middle, or the end of the Tribulation.”  Better yet, He could have said, “I am coming back on January 1, 20XX, so be ready.”

The Coming Apocalypse

The signs of the end times are all around us.

The recent earthquake in Japan is presenting an abundance of end-time catastrophes that will ripple through the entire world.  Our country is certain to be impacted by the economic crises these events have triggered.  Already they are closing auto manufacturing plants that are dependent on Japanese supply chains which have broken down.  I believe this earthquake in Japan is going to trigger an economic meltdown worldwide.

A dear friend and prophet, Bob Hartley, brought a message recently about five supernatural waves that will impact our nation, and the first of these is an economic wave.  That wave is about to overtake us!  We must be prepared!

In 1998, my book “PROSPERITY and the COMING APOCALYPSE” was published.  Even as I was in the process of writing the book, I felt like the Lord was saying that although it was noteworthy information for the year 1998, it would be much more received in a future time, a time when people everywhere were seeking answers for the turmoil in our world.  I believe that time is now.  This is not just a book of prophecy, it is a book of survival.  It is available in our online store or by calling 1(888)988-1588.

PROSPERITY and the COMING APOCALYPSE” addresses such issues as:

  • Why I believe a coming world economic collapse will lead to terrorism and possibly war.
  • How recent weather patterns, violent tornadoes, and earthquakes are just the beginning of a world out of control.
  • When and why meteors will hit the earth, causing massive, unprecedented destruction.
  • What Christians ought to be spending their time, energy, and resources doing in these “last days”.
  • How to have hope in the face of difficult times and survive the coming apocalypse.

In the days ahead, you may be stripped of everything you have ever held dear.  You may lose your money, your home, your material possessions, your career, your spouse or other family members.  Please do not be dismayed.  I have been through the stripping and I can tell you that the Savior will never leave you nor forsake you, no matter how dark or difficult the days ahead.

God will take care of us through the coming apocalypse and beyond!  And we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!

Love,

Jim

The Four Horses of the Apocalypse are Riding Now

March 23, 2011

Revelation events are happening one right after another such as wars, earthquakes and tsunamis around the world. The world has looked on as Japan has experienced what newscasters call a biblical event of epic proportion.

Every day, we are rapidly moving deeper into the Revelation Days, the days the Bible refers to as the Last Days. Paul declares in 2 Timothy Chapter 3:1-4 “This know also, that in the Last Days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” I know you have to agree with me that everything Paul says here is happening right now!

As you know, I have spent years studying the book of Revelation and its relationship to every book in the Bible and to the days we are living in right now! For the last few years, I have been emphasizing the fact that we are living in the days of the Four Horseman of Revelation Chapter six! I have no doubt that all four horses are riding right now!

The first horse is the spirit of anti-Christ which includes all the things mentioned above from 2 Timothy Chapter three and that spirit also includes the warfare of this television and computer age, which is a war of words. Today, evil men are speaking evil things against God and even banning God’s Ten Commandments and the Bible and prayer. The White Horse is riding!

The second horse, the Red Horse is also no doubt riding full force today! This horse is sent to take peace and prosperity from the earth causing slaughter and violence, terrorism and fear and even great warfare and bombing! This is demonic warfare! You must remember that you overcome this kind of warfare only by the power of the Lamb Jesus Christ! Again, you must agree the Red Horse is riding now!

Let’s look at horse number three, the Black Horse of lack of food, inflation or as the Bible calls it, famine! World health says eleven million children die each year due to starvation! We are on the brink of a world out of food and the church is spending most of their sermons on how to get rich and someday the money everyone worked so hard for will be worthless paper. Soon, according to horseman number three, it will cost a day’s wages to buy a loaf of wheat bread. The Black Horse is riding and he is about to go into a full gallop!

There is only one horse left and let’s see if he is riding. The King James Bible calls him “The Pale Horse” but in the Greek, he is a greenish pale color or the color of death and sickness. The Bible goes on to say that death (plague and pestilence) follow him and they bring death and diseases to a fourth of the earth’s population through animals! Most all our plagues come from animals and cause such diseases such as Aids, Bubonic plague, Ebola Sars, Swine and Bird flu. Well, it looks like all the horses are riding!

So, then what is coming next? If the four horses are already riding, what comes next according to the Book of Revelation? We see Jesus comforting those who have been martyred and telling them it would be just a little while and all those who are on earth and love him will be together soon.

Revelation 6:12 is the next big event! John sees Jesus and tells us “Then I watched while the Lamb opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became black like rough black cloth, and the whole moon became red like blood.”

Over the next days on our program, I will be going over, in detail, what this next Revelation event is all about. I have never heard any minister talk about or even read the scriptures about the sun going dark in the Last Days, even though there is more than 16 scriptures saying the sun and the moon will be darkened before the “Day of the Lord.” Even the scriptures that tells us about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Last Days warns us of this event. Look at Acts 2:17-20 “God says: In the Last Days I will pour out my Spirit on all kinds of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. At that time I will pour out my Spirit also on my servants and handmaidens, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the sky and on the earth: blood, fire, and thick smoke. The sun will become dark, the moon red as blood, before the overwhelming and glorious day of the Lord will come.”

In Matthew 24, Jesus says that the sun and the moon will be darkened and then all will see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven! I believe that the 16 times the Bible says that the Sun and Moon will be darkened, it is caused by volcanoes, asteroids and earthquakes. The BBC says that Yellowstone Park is sitting on top of a Supervolcano and that when it blows, there would be no life left within 600 miles, except those people who have prepared a place underneath the ground. Life on earth as we know it would no longer exist. When the Supervolcano blows, it will cause an immediate nuclear winter of dirt and ash in the air over the entire world for two years and no crops would be able to grow. Right now, the Denver Post says that scientists have warned that Yellowstone National Parks Lake is bulging up 100 feet from the lake floor and could explode at any time. Some of the park’s trails are so hot they are no longer open to the public.

The University of Utah recently discovered a magma body 20 percent larger than previously believed under Yellowstone, so a future cataclysmic eruption could even be larger than thought! The BBC says “Yellowstone has gone off roughly once every 600,000 years. Its last eruption was 640,000 years ago, Professor Bill McGuire, professor of geohazards at the University College London says, making another eruption imminent in geological time. Perhaps this is what Revelation 6:15 means when it says: “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains.”

No matter what happens, it is time to be prepared, time to store food, time to have our hearts right with God and be ready for Heaven, and to minister in the Last Days and be able to help others!

Love,

Jim
