There is so much happening in the Spirit right now.  God has been speaking to me about so many things that I need to get out – need to tell everyone – need to warn people about.  Even the Thanksgiving holiday has given me no reprieve on sounding the alarm!  The time is short folks!  We are on the verge of something really BIG!  I feel it in my spirit and I know it because I know His voice!

Others know His voice too.  When Rick Joyner came last week, he said he was almost “desperate” to get back here to Morningside and tell our listening audience “AMEN – it’s time to store food and water!”  Neither of us know precisely what is coming, but we know it is BIG!  We are pleading with people to get ready! 

We talked a lot about this nation and how it has turned away from God.  The scriptures are clear:  When a nation honors God, they will be blessed (Psalm 33:12).  When they turn against God, the scriptures say they will perish! (Deuteronomy 8:19,  Jeremiah 7:6, 25:6)

Rick had a lot to say about the condition of the nation and the church.  Here are just a few of the outstanding statements he urged our listening audience to pay attention to:

“Now there is going to be a time of trouble. There’s going to be a time of bartering in America. There’s going to be tremendous upheaval. We can come out of the other side better than ever.”

“Our future can be much brighter than our past. I’m talking about America.”

“The net worth of America is not measured in dollars. It’s the industry. It’s the initiative. It’s the people. It’s the freedoms that release these things.”

“I’m confident that if we will humble ourselves, if we follow 2 Chronicles 7:14, the Lord will not only get us out of this, it will be a reset. It will be like a Jubilee.”

“When a nation keeps taking stands against God and against Israel – it’s dangerous!  We don’t honor God as a holy God.”

“Our nation is in increasing jeopardy because of the way we treat Israel – and the way we treat the Lord is even worse!  Until 50 years ago, we wanted Jesus more than any nation on earth and since then, we’ve been asking Him to leave – we’ve demanded Him to leave!”

“We don’t even want the mention of Him in our history or in our public places… and He’s left!”

The ensuing meltdown is continuing and Rick believes we are in the worst jeopardy of our nation’s history!  This meltdown is the direct result of us turning from solid Biblical foundations, solid Biblical principles that He gave us as a nation!

The only answer is to get back to them.  You can go back and see it has been the departure from those founding principles that has led us to all of the crises we are now in.

 “Outside, people are saying now it’s July when everything starts unraveling really fast.”

“Some of our senators and congressmen said — they didn’t say it publically — but they said, “We’re now hoping to make it to January.”

“Our real debt right now is not just 15 trillion or 14 trillion. Add the entitlements on there… It goes way past 65 trillion.”

“The economic principles that are being used are counter-productive. They’re not just not working — they’re counter-productive. They’re unraveling things.”

“In the natural we passed a point of no return. In the natural there’s nothing we can do now and this is why they’re not addressing certain things. They said nobody has the answers and that’s why they’re not talking about it. So let’s go on, business as usual.”

“2 Chronicles 7:14 says: “If MY people.”  We need to understand that it’s us, not the heathen that needs to humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways so that He can come and heal our land.”

“We ARE a Christian nation:  83% of Americans claim to be Christians.  Nearly 65% claim to be born again!  Though 65% claim to be born again, only 6% have a Biblical world view.  We have been making converts and not disciples.  We would not have drifted so far from our Biblical foundations had we understood what was in the scriptures.”

If you know Rick the way I know him, he doesn’t alter his message or adjust it for anyone or anything.  He says what he means and means what he says.  I respect him for that and I know him to be a solid man of God with a prophetic voice you can count on.  He hears from God.

I can’t say this urgently enough:  It’s time for understanding of the Times and Seasons.  It’s time to be like the Sons of Issachar who knew the Times and the Seasons and had wisdom about how to prepare for them. There’s something coming – it’s BIG.  Get yourself and your family prepared.  Have something extra to give to others so that you can show them the love of God during hard times.  Do it NOW!

“If just the evangelical church would say, “Let’s get ready to take care of ourselves and just 10 percent more…” We could take care of 50 percent of the people in America.”

In the entertainment crazed society we live in, very few people, even Christians, will endure a message of what they consider ‘gloom and doom.’  They would much rather hear some cleverly told story containing a lot of humor!  Nevermind that we are living in the days that demand a sobriety and a vigilance to understand and be ready for the events of Revelation.

As I begin a series of blogs titled “Woe is Me”, I guess I feel the need to try and preempt some of the negativity to such a serious subject.  I felt the same way back in the mid-nineties when I was given the message that was contrary to what a lot of people had been preaching, including myself, of the prosperity gospel.

Well, I never wanted to swim upstream of the flow or be a ‘prophet of doom’ - it is always easier to go with the flow.  But I didn’t choose the message, I’m just the messenger.  And that’s the way it is today with this series.  You are not going to hear a lot of ‘happy talk’ in this series.

As a Watchman for the Lord, the message I have been given to deliver to whoever will listen, takes on a very serious nature because of the Times we are living in.  Things are accelerating NOW.  NOW is the time to do exactly what you are told to do by God’s Spirit.

With that in mind, I am going to write a series of blogs about the Woes of the Bible.  They have never been more relevant than at this moment in time.

A Reluctant Messenger

Before stowing my briefcase, I retrieved the package and held it warily in my hands. Why, God? I thought as I stared at the package. Why have You given me this assignment? You know I’ll do anything You instruct me to do; but I confess, I’m scared. I don’t really want to be the one to deliver this. But I have promised to obey no matter what the cost, so I’ll do it.

Nearly a day and a half later, as I unpacked my luggage in a hotel room in Singapore, I took the package out of my briefcase and opened its contents.

Inside a leather three-ring notebook was a message—the most explosive, exciting, frightening, yet exhilarating message I had ever received from God.

The message had been ten years in the making; five of those years I had spent in a federal prison while God got my undivided attention and brought me to the point where I was willing not only to hear this message and accept it as the truth, but to proclaim it.

After my release from prison, the message remained sealed in my heart, burning within me, refining my own thinking and lifestyle. It was not until a few days before Christmas 1997 that God gave me the go-ahead to speak it aloud.

It was not the kind of message most people want to hear. It was a warning from God, and I felt that He had called me—of all people—to sound the alarm.

By and large, most of the church in the United States does not want to hear an apocalyptic message. It wants a message of health and wealth, hope, healing, and financial prosperity mixed with a measure of blathering psychobabble focused on getting our needs met. Rarely does anyone talk about sacrifice, repentance of sin, or our failure to be what God has called us to be. When, for example, was the last time you heard a message on the cost of discipleship? When was the last time you heard someone preach on the judgment of God or the horrors of hell? How often have you heard a message encouraging Christians to bear one another’s burdens?

No, we simply want to be happy Christians.

After all, who wants to be known as a prophet of gloom? Who wants to be the bearer of bad news? My temperament is one that cries out for people to like me. I have never enjoyed confrontations, arguments, or battles (although I’ve been in more than my share). My personality is that of a peacemaker. It is simply not my nature to bring a negative message. My desire has always been to bring joy and encouragement, and that is what I tried to do in a variety of ways during most of my ministry.

Yet now, as I studied the Scripture and contemplated the warnings I believed God had placed in my heart and mind, I came to realize that even this dire word was a message of hope, an encouragement for the body of Christ, the family of God, the true church. But it was genuine hope based on sound doctrine, rather than foolish spiritual slogans propagated by pleasure-loving disciples. This message had been formulated by considering a mass of scriptural evidence rather than contrived concepts derived from one or two obscure passages or the twisting or shading of biblical truths to one’s personal interpretation.

 

For those who heed this word from God, it will be life; those who do not pay attention to God’s final warning will be sealing their own tombs.

Monster May is still on the march!

Today’s headlines are chilling.  Tornados were reported across the Midwest, including Joplin, Missouri, Minneapolis, Minnesota and a small Kansas town.

In one recorded video of the Joplin tornado, a group was huddled together in a convenience store cooler.  You could hear cries of “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!” and “Heavenly Father!”  Church, it’s time to pray and call on that Name that’s above all names.

There is so much death now in Joplin, they have a mobile morgue going around to pick up the dead.  They are putting flashers to see where to pick up dead bodies.  Right now, 89 are confirmed dead and the total will be going up.  Some reports say at least 75% of the city has been destroyed!  There are gas leaks everywhere; houses, schools and hospitals.

Storms are growing world-wide as we see the Revelation Days unfold.  Warning sirens are going off in my spirit!  Please, get prepared – first in your heart, and then in practical  ways.   If you don’t know Jesus, call out to Him now and He will hear you, just like those people huddled in the cooler in Joplin.  When this world comes apart, wouldn’t you like to have hope in the eternal life that Jesus offers you?  Things are not going to get better, the Bible tells us that when we see these things happening, they will only increase! (Matthew 24)  Read John 3:16 today, because God gave His “Only Begotten Son” so that you would not perish, but have everlasting life!

I know also that “major flooding is still coming.”  The disaster surrounding the Mississippi floods is not nearly over yet, so get ready for even more bad news.  But if you know Jesus, you know that even the bad news is good news because it all points to His soon return!

The Red Lights of Prophecy are Flashing!  The weather is even more out of control.  People are dying and going to meet their eternity.  The effects of this ‘monster’ May will be with us forever in loss of life and property, and in the ripple effect it will cause on our crops, our economy, and ultimately, our world.  It’s time to turn to Jesus and to pray for one another!  It’s time to come together and to reevaluate our priorities.  Don’t be deceived.  Don’t be naïve.  Don’t be a victim!

The most amazing thing about Jesus is that He loves us so much that He is again echoing His prophetic warnings throughout the world to give people plenty of time to see, hear and understand what is coming and to prepare.  I can only believe He does this because He wants us to know that He has us in His heart and hand, and He doesn’t want people to suffer unnecessarily!  He wants us to know that He is coming very, very soon!

During a show taping not too long ago, the Lord suddenly downloaded the words “Monster May” into my spirit.  It was very much like the countless earlier times I had been given some prophetic insight rather unexpectedly but very certain, nonetheless.  When the Lord spoke the words “Major March” to me on New Year’s Eve 2010, I had no idea the extent of what was coming in March, but the somber events which were to unfold proved that those words were particularly accurate and precise.  Then, nine days before the Japan earthquake and again while on the air, the download from the Lord came again; “There’s going to be a 9-point earthquake somewhere in the world very soon.”   On March 11, 2011 we saw Japan literally moved 8 feet and the earth’s axis shifted 4 inches in a historic earthquake of epic proportion.

The Red Lights of Prophecy are Flashing!

“Hearing from the Lord” is somewhat of a mystery to most people.  But for those who read and believe what the Bible says, hearing from the Lord is not only talked about in the ancient texts, it is essential for the last days.  We are told in Acts 2:17-18 that “in the last days” the Lord will pour out His Spirit, and the result of this will be prophetic revelation in the form of visions, dreams, and prophecy. This is necessary “in the last days” because as we draw closer to the end of this age, we will need prophetic guidance more than ever.  In 1 Corinthians 14:39, Paul instructs the Church:  “So my brothers and sisters, you should truly want to prophesy…”  Paul also said in 1 Corinthians 13:9 that we know in part, and we prophesy in part.  I like the way the New Living Translation explains this:  “Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture!”

Weather Even More Out of Control:  Death By Water

In 1999, the Lord woke me up in the middle of the night and instructed me to get a pen and begin to write.  One of the things He said to me was there would be “weather even more out of control:  death by water”.  It seems as though this particular prophetic word from the Lord is especially pertinent in 2011 as we see the weather causing record numbers of tornados and rain, and then the Mississippi River floods.  This entire month of May has truly been a ‘monster’, and it’s not over yet.  The effects of this ‘monster’ will be with us forever in loss of life and property, and in the ripple effect it will cause on our crops, our economy, and ultimately, our world.

Memphis Under Water

In January, 2011, Lori and I were in Memphis.  As I looked out my hotel room window, I heard the Lord say “everything you see here will be under water soon”.  The thought sent chills through me – but I know the voice of the Lord and it was an ominous warning.  I later mentioned it on the air in a broadcast in February.

New Orleans Under Water Again

It gives me no pleasure to tell you that another prophetic message given to me in April this year is that New Orleans would again be under water, and this time, they won’t recover.  As the Mississippi River swells and rushes further and further south, New Orleans is doing their best to prepare for the coming waters – but will their best be good enough?

As a “watchman” for the Lord, I see and hear these things to warn people of the coming dangers.  My whole ministry is geared toward preparation for catastrophic events that are surely coming and that’s because we are in the Last Days.  Jesus tells us all about it in Matthew 24 and in the Book of Revelation.  But the most amazing thing about Jesus is that He loves us so much that He is again echoing His prophetic warnings throughout the world to give people plenty of time to see, hear and understand what is coming and to prepare.  I can only believe He does this because He wants us to know that He has us in His heart and hand, and He doesn’t want people to suffer unnecessarily!  He wants us to know that He is coming very, very soon!

Only crazy people believe in the Book of Revelation.  That’s right – according to a popular newscaster of a leading news network, “No half-smart religious person actually believes the book of Revelation anymore”.  Really?  Well, that says a lot about you and me!  That is… if his next statement is true, “The Book of Revelation is a book of fiction…” 

The events of Revelation are clearly prophesied thousands of years ago – exactly as they are happening right now!  God sent the message so that it would be written for all generations to read and take heed,  and so that “whosoever will” would have the opportunity to be ready.  You can’t even be half-smart and not believe we are in the book of Revelation!

The arrogance of an ignorant and unrepentant world to think they can roll their eyes and mock the Holy World of God!

As we witness the events of Revelation unfolding, let those who are wise understand.  It doesn’t go well with those who mock God.  It’s time to heed the Word of God, not scoff at it!

2 Peter 3:3 says “Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.”

When the Lord told me back in December that this would be a “Major March”, I knew the events that were coming would be remarkable. I felt that there would be major events that would shake the World this month and it would be a wonderful time of healing and blessing for some of God’s people.  Today, I know that what is happening in the world is only going to accelerate and NOW is the time for the Church’s finest hour.  Listen to me now, and believe me when I say that when the world is coming apart, the true Church will come together and be prepared!

The Bible tells us that when the events of Revelation start to happen, they will happen in rapid succession – this is the generation that will not pass away before we see the coming of the Lord!

God showed me that an earthquake so big would shake Japan and it would cause a financial crisis of their nation that would cause great financial distress to the United States.  A week before this Great earthquake hit Japan, I felt God spoke to me that there would be a 9 point earthquake soon and I said so on our program.  God has spoken to me over the last few years that  there was coming a massive earthquake to California that would devastate LA.  The next few days and weeks could bring a shaking over the West coast from from top to bottom!

When I told a prophet, whom I trusted, of the Japan and LA earthquake God had told me about, he said when the earthquake that God showed me hits Japan,  the big one – the California earthquake is coming next!  (see page 110 of my book, Prosperity and the Coming Apocalypse) There may be many more earthquakes coming to Japan and one of them, a big one, centered near or under  Tokyo.  I believe we all had better be prepared for a Time of Trouble that Jesus told us about. WE ARE IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION NOW! 

A trusted friend, Dr. Paul Williams, called me yesterday and told me in a very somber tone about a dream he had where he had seen a green road sign.  The road sign simply said “Advent 2”.  When Jesus came the first time, as a baby in a manger, it is known as “The First Advent” or Advent 1.  Friends, this dream was clearly telling us that Jesus is coming again very soon!  How much clearer can He make this?

But before Jesus returns the second time, He tells us what will happen on this earth, and those things are happening NOW!  The Bible tells us that the foolish know what is coming, but do not prepare.  If you listen to our broadcasts, we have been saying over and over:  GET PREPARED – THE TIMES OF TROUBLE ARE UPON US!

BY FAILING TO PREPARE, YOU ARE PREPARING TO FAIL!

Preparation for the Time of Trouble preceding the Lord’s second coming is first, spiritual.  People, you need to EAT the Word of God.  Devour every spiritual Word of God you can by reading your Bible and digesting its instruction.  Get your heart right with God!

Then, get yourself and your family prepared physically, as much as you can!  Jerry Jones has friends in Japan.  Within one day, the shelves in the stores in Japan were emptied because all logistics (ways to get the food to the stores) had broken down.  Jerry was absolutely delighted to hear from Tom and his wife and kids and they said that they were not standing in the long lines in Japan for food handouts.  No!  They were eating from the food buckets of emergency food they had gotten from Food for Health, the same food we send out to our friends over television. They were prepared!

How much more can we do than tell you and plead with you – JESUS IS COMING SOON – but before He comes, there will be Times of Trouble.  Get ready NOW!

On New Year’s Eve 2010, God showed me that the coming month of March would be a “Major March”.  A time of major upheaval but also a time of extreme answers to prayers and blessing for Gods people.    In addition to the New Year’s Eve warning, God again brought a warning  while taping  our television broadcast, that a 9.0 magnitude earthquake was coming, this was a week before the earthquake hit Japan.  We are now witnessing the apocalyptic events in Japan that were undoubtedly a part of both of those warnings.  More earthquakes and major events are coming to Japan very soon.  California and the area from Illinois and Missouri to Arkansas will have major events in the future.  Keep you eyes on the Ring of Fire.

On July 12, 2005, God showed me New Orleans under water.  Forty-one days later, on August 29, 2005, hurricane Katrina hit.

In 1999, God showed me 31 things that will come to pass shortly and most already have.

When I tell you of the warnings God gives me and how they come to pass, I’m doing so because I want you to know how much He cares for you – enough to send you a message through a watchman ahead of time so that you can be ready!  Throughout the Bible, God uses people in certain capacities to deliver His messages and warnings.  These warnings aren’t just meant for me and my family.  No!  These messages and warnings are for the entire family of God so that they can prepare, first their hearts, and then to help themselves and others in practical ways in Times of Trouble.

I do not claim to be a prophet but I am a watchman whom the Lord Jesus uses to warn others to be ready for impending calamity.  Jim Bakker is human and has “feet of clay” just like you do.  I’m not perfect – the only perfect people are the people you don’t know very well, except for Jesus!  I don’t want people to believe in me – I want them to believe in Jesus!  If you put your hope in men, they will fail you.  We are to glorify Jesus, not any man!  Jesus must be on the throne – and we are to be looking unto Jesus as author and finisher of our faith.  We are to be looking with intensity, an intense gaze!  If you lose focus in this hour, you may not have the time to regain your bearings!

The speed with which Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled is mind-boggling.  NOW is the time to get our heads on straight and get our hearts right with God.  NOW is the time to prepare for Times of Trouble.  Remember Revelation warns us when the last days events began they will happen quickly many at one time one right after another!

We will be comforted during the Times of Trouble, and we are not appointed to God’s wrath; but Jesus warns over and over to prepare, both physically and spiritually for what is coming during these times.

The Lord also gave me a dream right before New Year’s Eve about huge waves sweeping down through the streets and over people.  In the dream, I was running into a large tower-like structure and screaming for the people to follow me!  As we climbed higher and higher in the tower I could see the huge waves coming up the streets just as we see in the pictures on television from Japan.

I wouldn’t be a Friend of God or your friend if I didn’t tell you what I’m sensing and hearing.  It’s time to run to God – it’s time to run into the Strong Tower of God and be safe!  It’s time to get ready for the great waves of the Times of Trouble.  They are upon us.

Proverbs 18:10 tells us “ The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and they are safe.”

It may surprise some of  you, but the reality is that we are already in a war, a spiritual war, right here on Earth.  The kingdom of God is being viciously opposed by the forces of evil.  This war is real with very high stakes – the salvation of men, women, boys and girls all over the world.   As the Church, we are new soldiers in this very old war.

Every day we are moving closer and closer to the time of Jesus’ return.    This is not a time to sit on the sidelines and watch as a spectator.  We are entering a season of acceleration.

You need to understand there is a master plan.  This master plan has been recorded in God’s Holy Word and prophesied in His Word.  The Lord is continually exhorting His people.  In Revelation, throughout the second chapter, the Lord, through John the Revelator, is repeatedly saying:

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” -Revelation 2:29

On Sunday, Nov. 28, the headlines warned “North Korea Deploys Missiles Near Yellow Sea Border” and “Europe Tries to Contain Debt Crisis”.  On Saturday, Nov. 27th,  we read “South Korea Marines Vow Revenge For Attack” and “South Korea, U.S. Gear Up for War Games Amid Tensions”.  On Thursday, Nov. 25th, news headlines said the Pentagon ordered the USS George Washington aircraft carrier strike group to the Yellow Sea for naval exercises with South Korean forces.  The escalation of events in the headlines should not escape the spiritual discernment of  Christians everywhere.   All of this cries out from the scriptures of the end times.  It’s NOW time to comprehend the accelerating events of our world – it’s time to pay attention.

Matthew 24:3

“Now as He [Jesus] sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be?’ And ‘What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the Age’?”

Jesus answered and said to them . . .

Matthew 24:6-7

“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation [ethnic group] will rise against nation [ethnic group], and kingdom [country] against kingdom [country] . . .   all these are the beginning of sorrows” [actual translation is 'birth pangs';  as with birth pangs they will grow closer].

Almost every day we hear of wars and rumors of wars in the news.  Almost every day we hear of natural disasters in increasing frequencies and intensities.  Almost every day we hear of the increase in weather extremes.  Almost every day we hear of more and more wickedness in man’s brutality and cruelty to man.

Church, we cannot become accustomed to these things.  We cannot be de-sensitized to the signs of His coming!  Each and every one of these things scream from the pages of Revelation that He is Coming Soon!  And this time He is coming as the Lion, not the Lamb.

Awake from your slumber!  Awake and be alert!  It’s not enough just to know about  the signs of His coming!  It’s not enough to just talk about those signs!

It’s the holiday season.  People are busy and life makes demands on people’s time.  But there is nothing more important than HEARING, SEEING AND PREPARING for the things that are coming quickly!

I love you and I want you to be prepared.

One day soon, the events of this world may not even afford us a headline in the news.  One day soon we may be beyond these urgent messages of preparation.  One day soon, we may suddenly not recognize our world as it is today.

It could happen today – It could happen tomorrow or next week.  No one knows the exact time or the exact events that will cause our very fragile world to collapse.  But we do know the signs…. and we have seen many of them in very recent headlines.

Matthew 25

25:1 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

25:2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

25:3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,

25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

25:5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

25:6 And at midnight  [an unexpected time] a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’

25:7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.

25:8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

25:9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, And those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

25:11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’

25:12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

25:13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

What could be more unlikely than a pile of human bones living again?  It doesn’t seem like a very intelligent question to ask and an even more impossible thing to actually occur.

Yet, God Himself asked the question of Ezekiel as he looked out over the valley of dry bones:

And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live?

and I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.
—EZEKIEL 37:3 

As Ezekiel looked at the dry valley of bones, he had no hope.  He saw only bones that appeared to be dead, dry and beyond hope.

There was a reason God asked Ezekiel if the bones could live.  God wanted Ezekiel to know that the bones could live, and that he had a very important role to play in their living.  Let’s read on:

Ezekiel 37:1-10:  Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

In these last days, there are many of God’s people that appear to be dead, dry and beyond hope.  The battles have been fierce, and while they appear to be defeated, don’t count them out just yet.  In fact, it is the Lord’s heart to count them in!  The Lord is raising up an army – a vast army from the bones of those who appear to be lifeless and without hope!

It is the prophetic call and responsibility of the Church to speak life to the dry bones within.  The Lord said “I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it!”

From my own personal experience, when you have been down for such a long time, and someone tells you that you CAN get up – it’s as life-giving as the very breath you breathe!  You can rise again!  You may have been told it’s over, you’re done.  But, God says NOW is the time, NOW is your time!

Jesus came to give hope to the hopeless.  It’s time we learn to speak life to those who need encouragement and hope.  When you speak words of life, you are literally creating the will to live – and that is Jesus’ heart!

NOW is the time to speak life to someone!
